After graduating from Penn State’s architecture program, and an apprenticeship with the firm of Donald W. Duncklee of Allentown, PA, Alan Hawman opened his architectural practice in Emmaus in 1977. A keen interest in building led to starting a partnership in a construction company that same year. Today (while no longer involved in construction) the firm specializes in residential design and projects involving historic structures. We also offer services for smaller commercial projects and consultation to owners and contractors on technical and building code issues.
